This Juvenile Wheatear is the only useable shot i managed to get on Saturday, which is a bit frustrating as i saw loads of birds i'd never seen before...

Take a look at www.outdoorphoto.co.za Thanks matatazela. Yes i use a baghide, but i've found i get better results if i just drape it over the camera/tripod and crouch/sit behind it. If i put it right over me i'm left with a really narrow field of view, and don't get any shots... The main problem saturday was the wind; with the hide over the camera it was catching the wind like a sail! downywp wrote in post #3435007 I think it's a nice shot of a cute little bird, the composition is nice as well. How close are you to the subject and did you have to crop the shot? Cheers Downywp. I was about 20ft away and had to crop quite a bit. I couldn't get close to anything; it's always the way if i'm not on my own. Thanks Kenny. hehe! Cheers Joe. Scott

I must admit, i prefer to show some habitat. It seems a shame to go to all the trouble of shooting them in the wild, not to show it lol! I just wish i could get closer so i didn't have to crop.... One day. Scott
