Hello folks,

I'm in market to get a new DSLR (planning to give my rebel XT to my wife) so was wondering if I should get a XTi or 30D, but came across pentax K10D with a impressive array of bells and whistles ( http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/pentaxk10d/ (external link) ). Even though I dont intend to buy a pentax (lens incompatibility) I was wondering if any of you have any inside scoop on canon up-ing their 30D specs anytime soon or should I just buy either XTi or 30D. Thanks

you don't really have any expensive lenses for me to say it's a bad idea. check the pentax lenses, and if they are in your price range and seem to have good quality, then the choice is up to you.

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

If you bring up the fact that your current lenses don't fit another brand, then it must mean something to you. That's what counts. I say if you can comfortably get the 30D then do so, it's more camera and a better one for sure.
