Learning Photoshop Elements 5

I have PE5 and can do some basic things in it. I also have Scott Kelby's book for PE5, but am wondering if there is another way to learn this stuff. I found a web site I could join and get an Elements magazine and view tutorials, but it costs a little. Just looking on a good way to learn.

I have Scott's book as well. I find that taking the sugestions in his book and trying them in different photos has helped. For example I tried his desaturation method for selective coloring. I then tried taking a photo from RAW and converting to B&W and then taking the same photo and leaving it in color, creating two layers and then selectively erasing the B&W gave a better result in my opinion. The photo is below:

Experimentation is the best way to go. Try things out you'll see in the book and post questions here and on other forums. You'll learn fast enough. Lord knows I am everyday.
