Finally got my Tamrac Adventure 74 backpack today delivered by UPS! So of course I had to play with my new bag and took some pictures along the way. I have never had a photo backpack before and did extensive research on this board and on brand websites before finally choosing the Tamrac Adventure 74. My first bag was a Canon shoulder bag I got with my film slr purchase as a kit at Best Buy....it had a red line across the front of the flap, so I figured it was the Canon L bag:rolleyes: . Any way, I was able to fit all my humble gear in this bag. As seen in the photos, I fit my Digital Rebel with kit lens attached, the additional 3 lenses I have, a 2x teleconverter, ominibounce, lens caps and the 420EX flash in the main compartment. All my accessories; CPL, rechargeable AA batteries & charger, 2 cards, shutter release and cleaning kit went into the storage pockets on the inside of the bag. The exterior pocket houses my camera battery charger, medium rocket blower and manuals for the camera and flash.

The only thing I did not like was how the tripod was strapped into the exterior straps which on the tag shows a picture of the legs inside of the tiedown pocket. That, as in my picture, is not possible since the bag has gear inside. The picutre of the bag looks as though the bag is empty so the tripod fits nicely. The monopod however fit just fine. Now I know what people mean when they say that they look like Bubba Fett with the bag on...the tripod looks like his missle on his rocket pack! Anyhow, this was my short rave review on the bag.
