are the 1D bodies the only bodies that are weather sealed? --are 5Ds?

Yes, only 1D series is weather sealed and no, 5D is not.

also keep in mind that you will need weather seal lens.

oh dammit--bubble your right. if i end up going to iraq this is going to be tougher to keep the camera cleaner then i thought =( lol

and in some senses yes i bet they can but i have this thing where when i take something apart it breaks. for example, i took my frame off my paintball marker one time to put on a new frame and when i put it all back together and happy all it did was leak air like crazy so i had to send it in to fix it cause i wasnt a gun tech. now i pretty good care of my xti atm and ya know when its dirty i give a good clean ..but i dunno man dust and sand --and mud --mirrors n'stuff i dunno..it'll probably blow up in my hand.

weather seal body + weather seal lens + lens filter = 100% cover.

now the question is if i deserve to have a 1D --going from an xti to a 1D body whats not to like? but i definitely dont deserve it! =(
