I've been using the free version of Neat image and it seems like a great tool for reducing noise. Now my question Is there any advantages of getting the Pro version which includes being ablt to do the noise reduction in 16 bit.I was also thinking about getting the plug-in too for Photoshop, since I don't think you can do the noise reduction in Adobe Camera RAW(is ACR ok?).
Where would you do your noise reduction anyway?
One other question is about profiles. I see you can get profile for each camera you use.I use a 20D and Adobe CS.Is there a profile for this combo and what is the advantage as to just calibrating a certain spot in each photo you are going to use the noise reduction on?

I use an older version of Neat Image, I work only with 16 bit Tiffs converted from RAW files so it's handy for me.

I do noise reduction in Photoshop with either neat image or Grain Surgery,. I usually do it pretty close to first thing, as most other manipulations can make noise worse.

Never sharpen before NR!
