i actually redid the one with the mic. notice how the hand was brighter? well i darkened it a bit more to match my skin hmm..

I am sorry, but how did you get the aperture to be 125 if you used the kit lens?

He didn't, his aperture was f7.1, shutter speed 1/125th at iso 200. Just looked a bit jumbled

it's quite alright! =) One time I was asking canon questions on nikon forum late at night! ...boy did my eyes open when I noticed it!
