Jun 27, 2007 12:43 | #9 Thanks everyone. There were actually 2 grizzlies, but one had just run out of sight to the right of the one in the pic. AJ711 wrote in post #3447067 Awesome picture, what is the story behind it? Were you just out walking or sitting in a blind somewhere? That is amazingly close for wildlife. I was shooting from an old logging road (had a vehicle to jump in if things went bad). I was actually out looking for Mourning Doves with a birding friend who had sworn he saw one the previous day (not a big deal to me, but apparently we were way outside their normal range so it was a big deal to him) when these 2 sub-adult grizzlies ran across the road and up into the forest. I only got off this one shot when they paused to look back at us, before they scampered off. EOS R5 | RF 15-35 f/2.8 | RF 24-70 f/2.8 | RF 70-200 f/4 | EF 400 f/4 DO II | EF 1.4x III |

I feel really pleased when I take a nice shot of deer in the wild, so I can only imangine how your feeling after taking this shot. A load of Canon Gear.
