Hey everyone! Just signed up as I've just got my hands on a 400D, my first DSLR!

I'm a PhD student from Newcastle, UK. I've been using a fujifilm S5500 bridge camera for a couple of years, and I moderate the forums over at S5000.net (external link), but have been waiting to upgrade to the improved quality and freedom offered by SLR for a while. Haven't had the chance to put the new baby through it's paces (or let it put me through mine!) yet, but can't wait to get shooting!

Welcome chip man!

I used to have the S5000 ... for about a week ;-)a Decent, but the limits are there way to fast and a DSLR is the way to go. Good luck in your shooting.
