Just in case anyone else has this issue...

I have a laptop with a graphics card that does not allow one to assign it a monitor profile. (I guess this is a new question to ask before buying to add to the list.) It might be an issue related to Vista, but nVIDIA's web site is so cryptic it's hard to tell.

Anyway, I have a GretagMacBeth EyeOne calibrator. And while it created a profile, the graphics card would override it on start-up, so it would never get used.

I contacted Gretag and they have a program (free) called DisplayProfile that somehow forces the selected profile to be used by the graphics card.

You need to run the program each time you start up, but it tages 5 seconds to run so it's not a real problem.

The program is toward the bttom of the downloads list on the GretagMacBeth web site.
