I saw that fire to I work just off of La Cadena Dr and if I would of had my Camera(In for Cleaning) I would have ran into you

Good shots I like how you focused on the men/women fighting to fire

Id like to know how you are editing these. Your first set was amazing, so is this one. I really love how the focus is on the firefighters, their colors are bright and vivid while the rest of the scene is darker and less important.

I used to have a "gearlist", but i realized it didnt make my photos any better.

Thanks guys, I really took a different approach on this fire. I was coming from Rancho Cucamonga so I was a little late so I missed a big chunck of the flames. As far as editing I was shooting all in raw, then took everything into Adobe CRW and played with the contrast and bumped the sat up a little bit. The second picture posted is a mini HDR, I made one copy drak and one light (in raw) so I wouldn't loose the detail in the sky but also still be able to read the engine company on the door. So I stacked the pictures in photoshop and erased the darker on where I wanted light and vis versa....hehe

All great but that last shot is a real stunner! Was it taken with your 70-200 f2.8?

Very good work! I really like #4, with the firemen amidst a swirling tempest. It clearly shows how they are dedicated to their job in spite of the uncertainty and danger. Thanks for sharing Mike.
