Adobe BRIDGE 2.01.10 w/CS3
[corrected: wrong before labeled CS3/RAW, that's what ya get when you're in a rush to post]

Preferences -> Show Hidden Files, everything works fine but, of course, sidecars are visible (yuck)

Preferences -> Do NOT show Hidden Files:
1. No thumbs, only the CR2 filenames, generic ICONs
2. Open file in ACR, 'DONE' all ranking removed <ouch>
3. F5 has no effect
4. Tried purging/rebuilding caches, no impact

Tried updater, sez nothing's new.

Any thoughts on this one before I put in an Adobe help-desk-ticket-to-oblivion?

OT note: The new ACR is very nice.

I assume you ahve done the 4.1 update? Maybe something is corrupt. Try downloading and reinstalling.

^^ Use of the program.

Bridge, 2.1 / CS3.

Attempting to move the cache to a larger drive, in case I'm just too low (4 GB?) and compacting/flushing the cache.

Next, re-install.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Found it, and you'll love this. In Bridge, if I disable Adobe Stock Photos AND the Updater Service (last options) the program faults. Otherwise, it is fine. Go figure.
