you have to wait for the update (lightroom 1.1)
it would be available 'soon'
Thank you. Scott Kelby, who gave the Lightroom seminar, stated that 1.1 will be a free upgrade and will be available very shortly. The sooner the better, I say.

When asked to comment, 1080iAddict states he "is pleased that this %$#*&^ing camera is finally on its way to my office considering my %$^#*& American Express card was already charged." Asked whether he has any animosity toward B&H, 1080iAddict responded "not at all. The MIII is in high demand, and considering the AF can't track BIF it will be a paperweight anyway." 1080iAddict next says "he was kidding so relax. I am PSYCHED. FINALLY!!!!" In a recent update to this Story, CDS is expecting is $4K+ paper wight as well.. GEAR LIST

I have been intrested in getting a 1dmk3 my main intrest is bird's in flight such as gease - duck's - dove's . Over the last couple of weeks there have been quite a few report's by photographer's that know what there doing and indeed own the 1dmk2 -Saying the AF is not as good. i have the 1dmk2 and 5d plus many L lenses but do not want to buy another camera ( 1dmk3 )if it is not ready yet owing to an AF problem as that would be my main reason for getting it. To my question - does the 1dmk3 have a problem or is it safe to buy it ?? and if so when will it be available in the UK. regards Rob. there answer Dear Rob: Thank you for contacting Canon USA product support. We value you as a Canon customer and appreciate the opportunity to assist you. There are not any problems with the autofocus with the EOS 1D Mark III. Although we here in the USA don't know when the camera will be available un the UK Canon UK should be able to assist you. You can reach them at www.canon.co.uk anyone know Canon's email address in the UK i carn't find it ![]() already out in the UK but they go as soon as they come in so if you havent preordered you may have a while to wait. I saw my first one in action this evening at Wimbledon qualifying. I asked him about the AF - he said simply it was 'amazing'.

I was more basking in the scenerio that i would be out of pocket and have nothing hanging around my neck. But its all good now. In fact, the very anticipation of the delivery is almost better than the camera delivery itself. Well, not quite.... Adam

Why dont you buy it here and save heaps of money? I just picked my 1d3 up at AV camera (highly recommended on this thread and by me) for a total of $4300 USD after the Vat refund you get when you fly out. doubt you'll be able to beat that price! I'll send you a PM in a minute and I could do some of the legwork for you over here (I have to go back to AV camera tomorrow to pick up my VAT refund form) as I'd love to help you find that camera if you so choose.

If I had the money I would actually consider it along with a USB GPS. Then the raw files would be tagged with the GPS position. Which I think is much more convenient that tagging the jpegs when at home. EDITING OF MY PHOTOS IS NOT ALLOWED
