Canon Digital Rebel, EF 70-210/f4
1/1250 f4.0 at 70mm

This is my first post of an image on this site. I've been reading for about six months or so.

This was taken at a dance event. It was one of those fortuitous pictures. Frankie had been jokingly threatening to walk in my way all afternoon, like the bumbling tourist getting in the way. So, I taunted him a bit and he complied. I was ready with a wide open aperture, and he was ready with the priceless look on his face.

I was going for the blurred background. I'd been shooting on Av mode with the apperture wide open most of the day. I'm not sure about the composition though. Anyway what do you think?

This was the first time I'd used my 70-210/F4 on the dRebel. I bought this lense in 1987. It was a pleasure shooting with it on the dRebel. I was a bit suprised at the quality of some of the images.

This will be a good test of Frankie's sense of humor, but it sounds like he has one. For me there is too much empty space to the left of Frankie. You might crop just to the man's left shoulder to give a more pleasant composition.
