When I went to the caverns back in 1992, I don't think that Ethel Merman was singing while I was there. I did not go to Keys Canoes, what is that? The rafting company that you used to raft down the river? I think that I saw the ball of twine in my travels through there..

The Ethel Merman part was at the end of the tour where they had you in this large room and then turned off the lights to show you how dark it is under ground. Well, It was real dark. Then a recording of Ethel singing GBA came on and they projected a flag on one wall. It was cheezyness to the max.

...my family and extended family got in a caravan of about 5 vehicles and went on vacation. ...

We use to do this with friends as well. Get a couple of cars together with only a loose destination in mind just to see what could be seen along the way. My wife and I still do this but have become more sophisticated using the web to plot out a cheezy weekend outing. ;)

Oh yeah!! Now I remember....there was something like that at the end...it did tip the cheezyness scale. Although I can not recall if it was the same song.

At least you take the time to plan. My wife and I typically just spur of the moment say "Lets go to (fill in the blank) now." and we head out.

Those are the best sorts of trip. My friend Nicole and I have a love of travel in common. We try to get together every weekend, every other if it's all we can muster. We'll pick a different direction/destination every time. Time isn't a factor, we'll drive however long it takes to get wherever we're going. So far we've stayed in-state. Almost made it to Minnesota once. But we're planning a trip towards Kentucky to see the mammoth caves and some Dinosaur land or something. I think she may drive out to VA with me in August. I'm not married, but Nicole is the next best thing. Some day, when I am married, I hope it's to guys like you two. I need somebody with a spirit of adventure! :)

PS - The cool thing about Nicole is that she's a photographer. So she's patient with me when I'm dallying, and either one of us will gleefully pull over the car to shoot crap on the side of the road. It's all fun!

Its always great to go on trips and especially have someone who will not mind the ocassional stop for pictures. But why would you want to shoot crap on the side of the road:rolleyes:  . Just kidding, all in good fun. My wife always busts my chops whenever I want to shoot something. This is what she does -->

Okay, maybe "crap" wasn't the best choice of words. But it's not far off. She even has a book of butt cracks. Yup, you heard me right. Butt cracks. I'm in there. ;) I help contribute to the insanity whenever possible.

Hehe...what?? Butt Cracks? That is an interesting subject for a book. Is it a coffee table type book or one of those fine art/picture story books?

Nothing less than the best for my butt crack buddy. I'm framed and mounted. On a mantlepiece in the White House. Yes, my butt crack is truely that spectacular. Was there ever any doubt? ;)

Honestly, it's just a scrapbook album. She's scrapped butt cracks in her book. It's a book exclusively of butt cracks. Okay, I just like saying butt crack. I'll shut up and go sit in the corner now.

What the heck is all this crack talk? Crack this, crack that, a book about cracks. Time to end this discontinuity and breach the gap and seal the fissure. Let's put this behind us and get to the bottom of the whole thing. So it's just a haunches, butt almost sounds like a contest brewing. Dig rear deep rump out of your seat and posterior up a crack...

Well here is one to get ya going.

Sheesh, I go away for a few hours, and you start talking about butts. I get to see them all day long when I'm watching my girls.

And just so you don't think I'm a twisted pervert (I'm just a regular garden variety pervert, but that's another story), my girls - who just turned three a month ago - are now potty trained. :D Yippie! No more diapers! :D And, with their new found freedom, they like to run around our place naked.

Ya know, all four of mine went through that stage. I don't know what it is but I think it's magnetic. Reach a certain age and clothing and skin just seem to repel one another and all of a sudden you see this little nekid body go flying by. :)
