... not driving when tired. They take a good nap during the break, and then maneuvering in the close-to-chaotic traffic is safe again. :D

Olli, you're stalking cab drivers now? This is an excellent series, I like the 3rd one best, he even took off his pants to be more comfy.

Have to think about that - and take a picture of my own foot once a while. ;)

Sure I am, good clarification for those who are on your side of the ditch, Pio. Thanks for feedback.

Nice series Olli ... reminds me of a number of travels. I have a good one somewhere of Indian Tuk-Tuk drivers stopping for a ciggie and chin wag. I will try and find it. Goes back many years tho.

What's with the partition around the driver in #5?

2 Samuel 9:7-8, "So David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.” Then he bowed himself, and said, “What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?”

Cheers Dave - would be nice to see your pics from India as well, not only chabby corners of London and St Alban ;) while waiting the grand show of SA images.

You didn't mention if riding a taxi in Beijing is a good or adverse experience, but I assume you ment this positively. :) I agree: in many cases it has been pure luck to get where you planned to go, and this uncertainty is part of the fun.

Driving a cab must be one of the most dangerous jobs in Beijing (or the drivers can turn to be hostile ...). Here is a couple of more pics inside the taxis.

I get that but those are cages. The picture I mentioned it looks like a fabric box or something. As if he doesn't wnat people touching his thigh.

New taxis have more stylish interior. ;) I haven't seen the metal bars in the newest taxis. The purpuse I believe is still the same (which could be the privacy of the driver, but I doubt ...). Hope to see some of our Chinese friends like Bu Yao comment this.
