I'm going through withdrawl. It has been almost two months since buying a lens. Ha ha ha! But the sad thing it is really getting to me. Sure I have all the lenses I ever dreamed of (with out massive debt ;)) but I miss the fun of that new lens. Anyone ever go through this or know what I am talking about?

Yes, Chris, I think I know exactly how you feel.
It's kinda addictive.
I am a bit better at fighting the urge these days, but still a long way from recovery.;)

My advice to you is to look at the strengths of your existing kit, not at the holes in it. Try to find beauty/satisfaction in shooting with small, non-L and inexpensive lenses. For example, I reckon the EF 24 f/2.8 has 80% IQ of the EF 24 f/1.4L USM at 35% cost.

Maybe the 35mm f2 will be added to my collection instead of the 35L I am virtually lusting over. Ah I remember the good'ol days I used to lust after girls not circular things made of glass and metal.

I recently bought the 70-200 l f/2.8. If I had known earlier, I would have let you buy it for me, thereby helping you with your withdrawl.

Then again, if the 35L would make you happy, I say go for it, lad.
BTW, I've got one I might give you a good deal on.;)

On the wagon for two months eh!! I've been on the wagon for three months!! Been mulling over that 500L but I can't convince myself that I would use it enough... I know what you are talking about Chris. It is great sport to pull that trigger! Iam going to try to wait a bit longer though.

HAHA no doubt,

to the O.P. if youre going through some withdraw there is one lens you can buy for me to help your craving.

Just consider it a nice gesture from me to you:p

In seriousness though, you can buy it for me,lol.jk. Not really though.

Anyway, I did this with my kit lens, I had this itch to get a better lens, prime or zoom, so I got the nifty.

A nice buy and a great lens, but for me, I like to stay out of a scene and let the normal reactions of people take place without disruption. I found the nifty to be too short of a range for me to keep from that scene. So I got the itch for the 85 1.8. One of the best lens buys I made.

Then soon got tired of the kit lens and moved on up to the big dog, the 24-70L. WOW pretty much sums it up.

Ive had the L since April and I honestly havent had the itch to get a new lens. Although I do eventually want to get the 70-200 2.8, its not hot enough to burn a hole in my pocket.

Overall Im extremely satisfied with what I have, and it serves my purposes very well. You have a nice setup, be happy with it:D, most wish they could have that.

I think that my B&H wish list runs something like three pages, Unfortunately I just don't have the money to buy it all at once. The dang thing just keeps getting longer though, even when I do but a lens off the list I also seem to add two. Strange how that works
