My RAW always looks better than the jpeg. I have set format as RAW & L jpeg. I do this because I can view the jpeg in ACDSee as thumbnails and choose the ones I think are worth processing. This takes a lot of room on my card. Does the program that comes with the camera have this feature for RAW. If so I can do away withe the jpeg and only shoot in RAW. I did not upload the Canon software because I have PS CS2. (Which I am still trying to learn)

You could use the Canon software or Bridge (a file browser that came with CS2) to view thumbs of just the RAW files.

I use the Canon software (EOS Utility) for downloading images from the camera, and used to use DPP for editing until LR came along. Zoombrowser is a very quick way to preview and sort your RAW files. (DPP and Zoombrowser are on the camera CD's).

Personally, I use Lightroom which doesn't require conversion from RAW.

I tried Bridge in CS2 and cannot view my RAW files. It only shows the jpeg as thumbnails.

I can only get to bridge by opening a file and then choosing "Close and go to Bridge" from the File menu. How do I view my cr2 files as thumbnails?
