Using PS, is there a way I can downsize all the files in a folder to 800x600 (for example) at one time, rather than doing all 200 pics one at a time, for easy storage?

PS 7.0 is what I'm using. I click File, Scripts is not an option.

Not sure if 'Fit Image' is allready in PS7.
If it isn't, you'll have to batch using an action, but you'ld have to run portrait and landscape shots seperately.

I've tired creating an action, yet I still have to pic the file size for each picutre that has been opened.

In the action, use resize to a certain pixel count. That should work.
Otherwise, describe what you are doing, step by step.
