It seems to be really tricky if you want to keep the lens fully functional with all rotating steps (some ball bearing had to be changed to keep all steps), I wouldn't have done it by myself, also because I am born with 2 left hands  ...

and some of my first samples taken with this ultra sharp lens ! ... impressive.

On my side, I need to spend much more time to understand this lens .... but looks complementary to my 24L1.4II+85L1.2II ...

Did you buy the FD to EOS converter? Or did you do the conversion yourself?

No .... I bought an FD version on the net for 300€ and made it converted by
cameraserviceone.com for 90£ ...
As I said, It seems to be a quite tricky conversion for this lens (due to a complex 4 steps rotating mechanic system)... I would never try to do it by myself with my 2 left hands  !!!!

It seems that lens was almost never used, the "Passed" stickers was still sticked on lens. It was sold by the son of the former owner and he didn't know what to do with it  ...

The OP started this thread 5 years ago, the new 24TS mark II is very sharp and worth considering

1)Hi thanks I wanted to pay for it less than the lowest ebay asking price which is 800+ for a soso copy.

2)I would like this lens vs the TS-e lenses mainly because the FD is the smallest tilt shift lens ever(right now my everyday lens is the nikon 35 2.8 shift but i want the tilt) and equal in sharpness to anything out there, plus its the first lens of its kind for 35mm and i can adapt it to my nikons and its the only 35mm tilt shift, 24 is too wide for me most the time and i hate distortion, and i dont know or have any correction software and i hate manipulating images out of the camera, for now.
