I think this may be the wrong forum so if so please move.

I was wanting to find out if anyone has any experience with 17th st. photo?
I have decided on a lens and while they are a small amount cheaper (within a couple of bucks) I prefer to go with a reputable dealer. I can get the same lens at bhphoto which, I have never done business with either (new to all of this).

Have decided to go with a Sigma 55-200 DC for right now, until we get back from our vacation (Disney is not cheap). Vacation is holding up the rest of the funds and when we get back I will buy a better lens with what is left over. Read alot of good reviews on here about this lens. Need to know though is this lens an autofocus and manual focus? Or is it a manual focus only? Is it worth the 150 bucks or not?

this belongs in the market place forum.

check www.resellerratings.com (external link) to find about the retailer. I have no experience with them. I ususally make equipment purchases from B&H.

B&H is probably the toprated etailer in the photography biz. For a few bucks don't mess around, get it from the best. Their returns are absolutely hassle free and their prices are among the best.

They are very reputable. I've dealt with them in the past, and here is their rating http://www.resellerratings.com/store/17th_Street_Photo (external link)

The 55-200 DC is actually a very good (budget) tele lens. So long as you avoid camera shake, it'll deliver some fine IQ for you. And it is an autofocus lens that can also manual focus.
