Is 2 hours east of San Diego/LA. Brutally hot this time of year (110+) so I decided to head out there last night for some long exposure shots . It was still 95 degrees when I arrived at 11pm.
Strange place, very surreal. Lots of photo opportunites if you can stand the heat and the smell of dead fish.

Everything here is lit via last night's full moon...

I love #3, except for the shadow of your tripod. #4 is the next best one. Very interesting place.

I've been meaning to get out there.....when it is cooler.

2 Samuel 9:7-8, "So David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.” Then he bowed himself, and said, “What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?”

Me too! I haven't been there in several years but I remember the strong smell of that place.

Perhaps in cooler weather we should organize a trip out there?
