I stopped at the farm market on my way home for some of the first corn on the cob of the summer.... YUM! And a small bag of cherries for dessert. That's it for my purchases today.

Congrats on the new toy, Kev!

today I added to the greenhouse effect by purchasing
20 fags at the local newsagents
1 large cappuccino at southwaite services
1 large cappuccino at scotch corner services
a plate of beef stew n dumplings from the canteen of the factory i was visiting,
a mars bar....
1 large cappuccino at scotch corner.... (all coffee was costa)
(all of the above (except the stew n dumplings :)) also involved burning copious amounts of petrol and polluting the place up for a meeting that lasted a bloody hour)

and lastly 3 quarters of a tank of petrol,a packet of rizlas and a pack of 4 blueberry muffins from the local garage.

Nice series Dave , thanks for sharing...;) Hope you enjoy the contents - looks a fair bit of coffee to me.
We have one of them Tassimo thingies, pressie from the Brother & his missus' last Christmas - Not a bad cup tho' - But you have to shop around for the best prices on the coffee...

I made my own sarnies for lunch - ham & cheese  , did throw a bit of salad in though, just to liven em' up a bit. Bought a bottle of Coke from some dodgy looking corner store to wash it all down with.

This is a Nesspresso machine so supply of the thingies is only via them direct. Works out 23p or 24p per cup depending on the blend. It is the best coffee I have ever had. Very high quality and consistently excellent. I used to have a proper Gaggia Classic but the consistency wasn't as good as this one, much slower, a pain to change the water container and a mess to clean. This one was a £50 ebay bargain new so saved a packet. A 10/10 product.

Bacon, egg and lettuce sarni today - in wholemeal - bleugh

The bacon and egg is fine - trying to make it politically correct with lettuce and wholemeal is pathetic.

BUT

It's a sign of the times - so the dog got the bacon and I had an egg and lettuce sarni - in wholemeal :(
