Two fun items purchased:

No, not a bullet, 'personal massager' or nooklear missive, but a £3.70 mini-flask for enabling coffee imbibement during early morning safari game drives ...

Zooey playing with his new £1.99 catnip toy, aka lookin' shifty when taking it away for some private action

How big is that thing, Dave? I'm considering getting one, or I might just bring my travel mug that I use at home.

Thats one sexy looking flask! - Has Zooey 'had his way' with the catnip toy yet? - He does look a bit shifty... :-)

I've just got my broadband back and working this morning - BT have been having 'problems' since yesterday morning

Spoke to 'Gupta' in sunny India this morning and he assured me there were no problems on the network, so it must be my (unsupported) Netgear wireless router
I pointed out the fault ticket on the BT system (I have access;) ) and he said, 'Oh, I haven't seen that!) They obviously don't have access to the 'ECO' system out there - Good old BT...

Click here (external link) ... I found it by accident as I was looking for a couple of luggage straps. I had thought buy one there, but it was so nice looking I had to have it. Will be nice in a hide if we sit for a few hours by a waterhole. There is a really good one in Etosha if I can find it again

He was at it all night. I had to rescue the poor thing in the end and hide it under the duvet. He later woke me up by scratching at the duvet

Our new kitten couldn't care less for it (this is normal aparently) but the other three adult cats just go nuts for it!

I tried it once but it did nothing for me ???

Sexy looking coffee mug you have.

Finally got my tracking numbers for my Heliopan CP filter. I see it's in Kansas now. If they keep coming south, I should have it by the first of the week.

The cd's I ordered are coming by regular mail. How boring is that ?

Exciting news on the Helliopan CB ... look forward to a full technical review aka speed of delivery, opening of package, feel in hand, and such. Images welcome.

Ditto the CD's and do remember that anticipation is often the greatest pleasure you can have ... well, judgin' by my love life anyway

Personally, today I have spent money to buy money which is a weird, mildly surreal concept. Changed many fine UK Pounds Stirling into South African Rands and they are due to arrive Tuesday. If I suffer amnesia on Monday (or even maybe tonight!) then I wonder if I will feel greater joy opening the envelope than if I don't? One will never know I guess

Also ordered via eBay three very large 110lt Plastic Storage Boxes with lids. This necessary to store all the crap I buy so my place stays tidy!

Did I mention I also bought a ZALMAN CNPS 9500 AM2 Processor cooler?

Come on folks ... let us peer into your silly world by postin' your own purchases, however banal.

Very cool Slimfast ... looks like delivery Monday or Tuesday. Seems to have been passed around a lot in Heathrow. Sweet buy ... will work nice with that IS L. Sell yer 28-80 and 100-300mm and swap for a Tamron 17-50 2.8 or Sigma 17-70 and you're sorted mate ;-)a

Well the 100-300 has actually gone and has paid for the kenko 1.4

But yeah there's still quite a few bits I want to get soon, but I'd be more likely to look at the 24-70 / 24-105 (probably the 24-70) as my walkaround, the way I shoot tends to leave a focal length gap that makes my current 10-20 and 28-80 ideal for me on a crop but that's just me being weird. But that 28-80 is actually a surprisingly good performer. Also want a 100mm macro and a flash.

Don't ya just love seeing that?

Well, my parcel is still traveling somewhere - no eye deer where but I am guessing it will arrive while I am away and will end up wending it's way back to whence it came. If the buggers had sent it when they got the dosh, I would have received it last Friday. I am not impressed with eBay sellers who sell items they don't have in stock...
