Wait a minute! Claude quoted $519. The one you linked to with IS is $949...

yep, almost twice the price. I don't think I'll be using it enough to get the L, but I really want a macro lens.

I vote for the Really Right Stuff Ball Head.. or the Macro (isn't it "IS" also?)

Now this is not helping me unconfused myself ???

Well, I'm not even sure if I'm getting the ballhead or that lens yet, but how much? :)

Edit: Oh, I see you have a focus hunter version

Car adapter for my iPhone - $12.99
Large Versa Bag - $29.98
And potentially some iPhone games, I've just been given $30 in iTunes gift cards.

Apparently I've been dubbed Foxy.

Today I bought this:

I'm a bit worried now that I'll spend too much time riding it and not enough time taking photos.

Aluminium frame with carbon forks and stays. I have an MTB that I ride a lot both on and off road, but the on road was getting more and more, so time for a road bike. :D

Warming up this old thread again...

I'd been looking to replace the 400D I had as my second camera - today I found a brand new 30D (with a kit lens and full warranty) for less then half the original price :D

So I got something much better matched with my 40D and can sell off the 400D with the kit lens. Not too bad :D

Pretty good deal there Tessa.

For today, I would have spent $100 to buy a new battery for my Macbook Pro (wouldn't stay on if unplugged) but the Apple Store replaced it for free because their diagnostic said it was going bad anyway. Wahoo!

Towards the end of this month I'm going to buy a pair of steel scuba tanks (ST 100's) from the dive shop I work at and a second regulator from a buddy of mine who will service it and my current regulator for free

I bought a TomTom, a gold pendant with a diamond in it, a remote shutter release cable for my camera and, at long last, a tripod. Spent some serious money. Well, serious for me.
