Freewheel is just letting the truck roll without it being driven via the gearbox, or engine turned off aka rolling aka the wheels are free not driven ;-)a

Yup - I am aware of the act and definition. Just couldn't work out where the comment came from, is all. No matter, 'tis a small thing.

You're trying to find the logic in a comment from condyk?... ahem :rolleyes:

There is usually some sort of logic in his comments, just not necessarily on your (or my) level of thinking... :lol::lol:

Bought a Smith Victor light table from a fellow POTN member...

Hmmm ... that sounds special somehow.

Today I have been mainly buying diesel - £60 to fill-up the pick-up, and also £40 in the Horse Lorry!
At least I've done my bit to top-up the government 'coffers' with the tax/duty I just paid on all that fuel...:rolleyes:

I have also just placed an order with 7dayshop.com for 5 rolls of Kodak Elite Chrome EBX100 fim - that set me back £13.90 (incl p&p)

Thus proving to my wife that horses cost more than cameras :-) ???

:lol::lol: Nice one ...

I didn't buy owt today other than a rather poor Chicken Paella in some cafe near Old Street. I think it was frozen and heated up out of a packet. Had a nice double esspresso tho'. i like it around that area. Is kinda my old manor ... Dalston/Angel ... going back to when I first landed in Cockneyland back in 1995. Lotsa H2O under the bridge since them days!

I actually cancelled an Amazon order.

Had another offer on my apartment near Bath. Batted one back with an alternative price and other too low.

I ordered yet more car bits, then spent a few hours fitting new quick release bonnet hinges, and some brightwork refitted.

Does it need fixing quickly and often then? :D

I bought the new(ish) Eagles double CD today for £8.99 - sounds just like all the old ones :rolleyes: :lol::lol:

Man, that sucks ... I used to kinda like them but just pure commercial rehash after rehash these days. IMO ;-)a

Anyway, achieved a handy positive balance to the budget today. Sold my 50mm 1.4 for a small profit even including postage, had lunch bought for me by my mate Andy, then went out with some work pals and had two cocktails (five ladies and two blokes hence the cocktails!!) and a JD and Ginger bought for me on the house.

So I am around £25 up on the day :-)

Hehe nah, it's just it's a big resto and modification job so it'll be easier in the long run to have a quick release bonnet.

I have the old one 'The very best of The Eagles'
bought it years ago for €22.95 , reduced to €17.21 :eek:
lol .... Q. how they arrived at that price ?
A. = 25% off

:lol:

never too mad on updates (versions) of old songs
they jazz them up too much

mostly ruin the original sound ,which is what appealed in the first place

I added in 'Amazing Grace: 20 Gospel Favourites' by Elvis Presley @ £2.98 on advice of Paul Hillion. So Marie, amaining ya managed to get so many POTN folks in that shot lining up for the bus just near B&H in NYC.

I see we have from left: Petkull with his red L's walkaround bag, in the blue shirt and playin' pocket billiards MD Jakie just slummin' it today, in the red and white cap Kev_c with both his wives, behind in the purple top Ronald Jr wearing his off the shoulder Katta, we got Lonnie Lad in the orange top and cap striding away at speed 'cos he thinks he left his bag at B&H, but it is actually on his back (daft plonker!), we got Rhys in 'grandma' disguise and his shopping bag contains a Sherman tank in case/hope that he gets mugged, Slimfast there with the cool sideburns and all in black, and finally we got the hot 30 yr old lady with bag checking out 'Kitten's' ass and thinking to herself as he walks past (out of picture!)
