Nice ripples there, thats one of best duck shots at the POTN. congrats :D

I read this twice, and then scrolled up the page to re-look at the pictures... I could have sworn it said "nipples" and not 'ripples"

I guess you read what you wanna read ;)

I've now bought myself a 70-200 f/4L IS, which probably gets me into some sort of inner sanctum - and I have now taken a picture of a duck. Does that mean that I'm an accepted member of the club now?

Welcome to the Inner Sanctum of the empty wallet
I joined when I bought my 70-200 f/2.8L USM.

Roy,
The DUCK is now a member of the club, the photograph has done absolutely nothing for your personal standing. I laso believe that you should have got the duck's signed waiver before publishing this picture....did you?...No, I bet you didn't. Your type are just using animals for your own personal gain and gratification....be a man and go fowards on your own merits. Bob

I think you're being far too harsh. The duck was perfectly willing to sign a waiver, but neither of had a pen at the time, so he gave me his permission orally. In fact, the photograph was the duck's idea in the first place. I think he had some ideas about a career on the duckwalk.
