Looks like it is in a tree..... Is it a magnolia tree? If so, they are very fragrent - in a good way!

There is too much going on in the background that keeps you looking at it instead of the flower.

This is the flower of a Magnolia tree. Blooming May-June.
Its a pity not the complete flower was captured and probably you could have found a "younger" one without these brown spots.

Ahh, I was wondering what the heck that tree was. I know nothing about plants at all. It was actually the only one on the tree and I took the pic atleast 2 weeks ago. Its right in my backyard so i'll see if It has anymore yet. I'm only 5'5" and that was the best view I could get :( lol. This time I'll take a stool with me.
