Is that the 7MDH in the US?

Nah there aren't direct replacements to the US bags, but it's a much smaller bag than the 7MDH, the closest to the 7 is the Daily L/XL

I think more like a 6 MDH. But a better equiv would be the Daily Series.

Simwells: I don't use a handgrip like the BGN you have on the 30d. I ment the grip of the camera, the part on which you hold it. So actually I could put it a bit on the diagonal to further increase the available length. I made a quick drawing if you want, maybe I could email it tou you?

Let me double check, I know what you mean, I still think it'd be a very tight fit though.

I originally thought of a Daily M (about the same size) but crumpler states it's interior size is only 28 cm. So I am really messed up now. Hate the fact that I can't try one.

Right I've double checked again, and it really is hard to tell. you might just about be able to fit the the 70-200 into the cutouts of the petal hood as you mentioned but it is very hard to tell, paticularly as I assume you'd want padding between the two, which I really think would stop you being able to fit it to be honest, If it wasn't for that then you probably could just but I think the padding would stop it fitting.

Yeah bags are always difficult in that respect.

Thanks. Do you think a Daily M could be better for the setup I asked you about? I know you made a review of the XXL..but that's overkill for me :) I just want a small summer photo bag so I don't have to take my Kata R-103 and get sweaty :)
I guess I could buy a Pretty Boy in the end and pray :) 'cause I woun't have a 70-200 F4 IS this year. Maybe the 430 EX. Final question: How many paddings does the Pretty Boy have? :)

I think you'd have to go for a Daily L to be honest, which does come with the laptop side of things making it quite a lot bulkier. The daily M would only give you extra space if you wanted to hold extra lenses, as it it's squarer but not quite as long. So wouldn't fit the set up you mentioned.

Yeah it is a difficult one. It comes with 5 total pieces, 2 bendable, 2 straight and one straight with a top flap.

And what about putting the 30D gripped with 70-200 2.8 IS horrizontally, with the rest of the lens and accessoires in the bottom under it? Does it work? I've been measuring mine cam+70-200 L is and it's about 28cm...
I'm looking for a city bag do carry my camera with the 70-200 attached as my main lens, does this clumper spacious enough for this?
Thanks in advance.

PS:I want to put a canon's XT with 70-200 2.8 IS attached, 28-105 f3.5, 50mm 1.8,580ex and 430ex, 16x AA batteries, some filters, remote shutter release, and other small stuff.

The 30D does fit into the bag with the 70-200 f2.8 Ls but is very tight and awkward to get in and out.

And there's no way you'd get all of that in to be honest, could probably and a major push get everything bar the 2 flash guns though. But if you want the 70-200 attached I'd go for a larger bag.

I just found this forum, and read all this thread.

My new 450D arrived today :) and i want to get a crumpler bag for it, but i think the XXL will be big enough for me as i am only just starting out. I ordered my 450D with the twin lense kit, so all i have is the 450D body, EFS 18-55 IS and the EFS 55-250 IS, hopefully the XXL will give me a little space to grow

This is all very interesting SimWells - I have the same bag which I used with my S3 IS and now that I have upgraded to a 40D, I find it difficult to fit my stuff in. My gear is 40D + 17-85mm attached, Sigma 70-300, 430Ex, Another flash gun the same size as the 430EX, various filters & knick knacks. I find it amazing the amount of kit that you have been able to squeeze in as shown in your pics.

My question would be - when you have put your kit in, are you still able to close the flap with the velcro strips or do you use the snap on clip. I find that if I put all my stuff in the Velcro strips dont attach properly and I am not very keen on using the clip

I find the velcro strips to be a bit short to allow them to properly attach, but they do partially sorta thing, I prefer to use the clip and pull it tight personally.
