Ah I see thanks for that ! I like the velcro strips for quick access - I tend to fumble with the clip

In case anyone is interested, I'm able to fit in the following equipment into my Pretty Boy Maxi XXXL:
1) Canon EOS 40D w/ EF-S 17-55mm f2.8 IS USM attached (hood reversed)
2) Canon EF-S 10-22mm USM
3) Canon EF 70-200mm f4L USM
4) Sigma 30mm f1.4 HSM
5) Blower and body cap in main compartment
6) Microfibre cloth and spare battery/memory cards in front pocket

I can actually squeeze in a 430EX flash sideways in a folded position resting ontop if I wanted to. I would still be able to close the lid using the clip.

Now if only I had Arnold Schwarzenegger's shoulders to carry this bag around.. *moan*

Legend, I have/will have near identically sized kit, will be ordering this off the eBay later.

You have any images of the gear in the bag. 17-55 + 70-200 combo etc.

Anyone else notice that the Crumpler site has now changed the bag to the Muffin Top Maxi?

Pete, I bought a Pretty Boy XXXL a few weeks back. I bought from Surrey Photography after searching Ebay and comparing prices. I wanted the olive/black and paid £46.56 delivered.

It seems that the red and black/orange ones are available on Ebay quite a bit cheaper than that.

Thanks, thats the eBay store I had in mind as well! Going to get the Olive/Black as well, gone up a few pounds but they are still the cheapest about.

It's a nice bag, I'm sure you'll like it. I originally bought the XL and was surprised at how small it was, even the XXXL isn't as big as I expected, but it fits my gear fine for walkabout use.

I might sound like a broken record, but do you think the Pretty Boy might be too large to bring into sports venues?

That depends on what you class as too large I suppose. It's not a huge bag or anything. Have a look earlier in this thread and you can see the OP with the bag over his shoulder.

Yeah that's the only thing I don't like about the shoulder bags, it's great for easy access and it looks much nicer than a backpack, but with a few lens, after an hour or so your (atleast my shoulders feel it) start to feel it

That's not much. Take a look at the Domke F-803 or maybe the F-3x or F-5XC.

I gave up on shoulder bags personally,

I tried the fastpack and sling shot series but eventually went back to a back pack,

I'm currently using the Crumpler Wickey and Cox backpack which is like the flip side but larger, which opens from the back, I find the weight distribution to be much more comfotrable when using 2 straps (backpack) as oppos to one, with that said, some might ask how can i access my camera quickly, with this set up you'll lose some 'quick' access to your lens and equipment but my shoulders feel much better now =)

I have so many bags and bought and sold so many of them it's pretty sad, finally found the bag I like well almost (I also have a burton sequece which is almost like the crumpler except it's got more zippers and bags to hold other accessories)

hope that helps

raymond

Star, looks like this will do me well when I don't want to carry my Mini Trekker!
