of the bands i'd originally listed, i've since shot both Nick Cave (albeit just as a sideman for Dirty Three), and the Boredoms twice.

got shut out again for Zorn's Boston appearance last year though...no shooters approved at all :(

I really would have wanted to photograph Kanye West and Jay-Z on their Watch the Throne Tour. The show was spectacular and worth every single penny of the $300 ticket.

i just checked out my initial post and can also scratch Sunn O))) off the list.

still have to get Zorn (though I did shoot Ribot recently as well).

at this point, i guess i would like to shoot The Stones, if only so i can claim having shot all the big 60s Brit rock band vocalists still living (R Plant, R Daltrey, R Davies, P McCartney).

actually, here are a few more:
Billy Childish
Keiji Haino
Howe Gelb/Giant Sand
Bjork

Foo Fighters. There is no better front-man in music right now than Dave Grohl...

eh, they were fun but Grohl's arena rocks antics really wore on me as the show progressed.

Yeah, but, if I'm only shooting the first two or three songs, who cares?

i'm just questioning your 'best front man in rock music' opinion, regardless of the number of songs

Oh, okay.

Yeah, I'm pretty set in that opinion.

I've tried thinking of someone who does a better job of fronting his band, and I come up empty...

Would have loved to been able to shoot Paul McCartney @ Fenway back on 09.. Van Halen might have been fun to shoot too last month.
