There is no need to "enable" it, so long as the raw format of the camera is supported (and all Canons are). If you want to view the thumbnail in a finder window (i.e., directory), switch the Finder view to column view (group of three options, third from the left). This is done by clicking on the right-most of the three view icons at the top of the Finder window (the left-most is icon view and center is list view). When you click on the file to highlight it, it should show up as a thumbnail in the right pane of the Finder window.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

Thn]ank you for your help. Correct me if I am wrong. In my last iMac & MBP (my house was broke in last month), I remember that I can preview the icon (thumbnail) in the icons view no need to go in the column view (may be I am wrong).

Is there anyway with out going in the column view?

Oh, right - I understand now. I think you have to import your raw files using Image Capture (in your Applications folder). You have to set this option from the preferences of Image Capture and it will build a thumbnail of the image for the Finder. Wait, let me check...

Yup, that did it. Use Image Capture. Click on Options, then select Create Custom Icons.

No, Previouly I did not use EOS Capture at all. I just copy the CR2 from CF card into desktop's folder. Any other suggestion?

Not EOS Capture, Image Capture.

Not sure about copying from the CF card - I just don't have any experience in doing it that way (sorry!).

I use to just copy and paste Raw file from CF card reader onto folders' in my stolen Mac and the icons will turn into small preview thumbnails. But my new MBP will not show small preview unless I import raw files with other program like Image Capture....

Anything I did wrong in the MBP's finder setting or any tips?

I am sure I did not install any add-on or plugin for the old MBP.
