Frustrated. That's me. I came across some Actions that I'd like from Kevin Kubota. I thought that would be helpful in my PP woes. I currently use Photoshop Elements 5 and am still learning how to use it. I can do basics like crop, color adjust, sharpen and end up with a decent picture. But I want a wow picture. Then I find things like Kubota's actions that I don't think would be great but may not work with PSE5. I feel frustrated in trying to learn PP with Elements and bound by the things I can't do because Elements doesn't support it.

Does anyone have experience with Kubota's actions?

I was thinking about Lightroom, but really don't even know if it is a stand alone program. Or does it need to work with Photoshop (the big one, not Elements)?

And than I wonder if I'm just getting carried away. I'm just a mom who wants to take pictures of my kids. BUT... I want them to be spectacular pictures of my kids.

I'd appreciate any and all help, advice, etc.
