Hi All,

I've searched through the threads but haven't been able to find the answer to this problem...

I have a serial number for RawShooter Essentials, but I haven't been able to find where to enter it on the program. I enter my name and email after the program loads, but it tells me that the registration process has failed.

It seems that without registering I cannot get access to the My Pictures folder in my HD.

I know that Adobe bought out RawShooter, but does that mean that a new install of the program will not work?

LightRoom and CS2 are quite outside my price range at this point, and I am finding Canon's DPP somewhat limiting when working with RAW.

Suggestions?
~Dom

I just discovered that RawShooter doesn't work with RAW files from my 30D. Oh well... Back to DPP for now!

Rawshooter Essentials is the FREE version and therefore will not need a serial number ;) - I thought they had updated it to include the 30D or was that the Pro version? - Anyone else to confirm/deny...

Rawshooter Essentials does support the 30D, it was the last update they did. Works fine with my 30D. ;) You need to download it again, and give it a try. http://www.photo-freeware.net/raw-shooter-essentials.php (external link)

I've tried "RSE version 1.2.0 build 68" with my 30D and it does not seem to support it. All the images come out weird like this:

Sorry if I sent you on a wild goose chase, that was not my intension. Glad you got it sorted. I had downloaded mine directly from the pixmantec website before it disappeared, so I new it worked. ;) The link I gave you was the only one I could find.

Please accept my apologies.

Hi,

Does anyone know how to stop the "Online Registration" screen from popping up each time the RawShooter is opened? When I click "proceed" another window comes up telling me that "Registration failed".

Since there isn't anybody - or more precisely, any machine - at the other end of the line to accept your registration and tell the application to stop doing that, I'd guess that you're just going to have to live with it.
