Does anyone have the adobe store link for this. I didn't subscribe to it and now I can't find it. It was a Canon users upgrade from the PSE that came with your camera purchase. Expires Nov 30, 2007

The link should be http://store.adobe.com …/master.jhtml?id=catCanon (external link) - I believe you need the serial number for the Elements 2 product that shipped with your camera.

Thank you David........

I ordered through this link and it didn't ask for a serial number. I spoke with a rep at Adobe this morning and she said she couldn't find that promotion at all, but the order seemed to go through just fine and I got a confirmation number.

The Adobe site seems to indicate that you need the Elements software that came with your Canon product. I know that Adobe Acrobat upgrade software insists on checking for a prior version, whether installed or on the installation CD. I'm assuming the Photoshop software will do the same. Anyone have actual experience on this?

Since I did not get Elements with my 30D, I guess I'm out of luck!

"Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only."

Kind of glad about that, considering I've already bought a full version of it.

No offense but do you know how to use photoshop? I did not know to much about it when I first started using the eval but then I got this book and went wow there are so many features I did not know how about and how powerful it is.

For just doing raw files I use lightroom, but then if I want to sharpen it / do some touchups etc I use photoshop, the new lightroom 1.1 is a bit better for this but I still prefer photoshop. Plus I like to use noisenija through photoshop vs the jpeg one its easier to work with I think.

You can't even compare Photoshop and Raw Shooter, they do very different things. There was nobody on the planet that was a bigger fan of Rawshooter than me, but that product is dead now

Lightroom is more comparable to RSP, and its not as good in many ways but inproving each upgrade and has become my #1 tool.

CS3 is 10x the upgrade from CS2 than CS2 was to CS1. I cant imagine going back now

I hate these boards.......thanks alot, you just cost me 328 bucks......LOL

......actually that's great, I have been looking for it, just got a new 24" IMac. Got Lightroom today, and ordered that CS3........I should be set.

Lightroom is really nice, and I like the fact that you can change color temp on JPG's (just another reason not to mess with raw) plus I think the exposure control works a little better than PS........IMO. But the fact that you can't use layers, actions or masks makes me still need PS.............I think Adobe kinda planed it that way...LOL

Both GREAT products!!

7D ......waiting on the 5D3

I wouldnt say Lr is a GREAT product yet, but it is getting there. It still has a few fundamental flaws but has improved a LOT from 1.0 to 1.1. They still need to improve the UI speed (ie the sliders are still sticky sometimes) and allow slideshow export to Quicktime and/or Flash with synced music (not just kinda sorta synced to a playlist) for me to be truly happy, but it does its job pretty well and for the most part the database stays out of my way, which was my major complaint during beta.
