Since I did not get Elements with my 30D, I guess I'm out of luck!

Turns out I'm not out of luck. I do have PS 7, and the upgrade version of PS CS3 is only $195 at Amazon! :D

I bought a 30D February 2006. Was PE provided on a separate disk?
I have a disk with Zoombrowser and DPP.

Adobe is not letting me use the Elements 2 that came with my 20D........they "claim" that their site says Ver.3.0 or 4.0. Which is what the software is asking for, however the page I went to-

http://store.adobe.com …/master.jhtml?id=catCanon (external link)

(and purchased from) Says NOTHING about what version is qualified. Honestly I have bought 3 Canon 20D's and every one of them came with Elements 2.0. To me when you have a page that states -

"Terms And Conditions"
Limit of one per household. Must own the Photoshop Elements that came bundled with your product in order to install this version of Photoshop CS3 software. Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Offer expires on November 30, 2007. Offer subject to change without notice.

Then I personally don't see a thing about a version. I read "Elements that came bundled with your product", which as I said was with 3 cameras.......... Elements 2.0!!!!!

I'm am soooo pissed!!! I sent my order in on the 4th and have been waiting for my new software to put in my new 24" IMac. Of course the last I heard from Abode was when I ordered it.........no shipping info

Very upset with Adobe.......makes me want to work with Aperture just so I don't support them.

Bottom line........Adobe will not honor what they put on there website.......liars.
Oh and keep your eye on this site I would expect it to change in the next couple days.

They are still "talking with Managment", so we will see what they do. Oh and they did want to see this post to determine where that website came from........like it just jumped out of thin air . I swear they were acting like I made the web page or something

7D ......waiting on the 5D3

Boy, am I glad I didn't buy this. I called first and the person I talked to could only find this offer and said it expired Nov 30, 2006. I told her it clearly stated 2007. She put me on hold, talked to several other people on her team and could not find anything like I was seeing on the web. I offered to send her the link and she said she couldn't accept it on her end. I decided not to chance it.

I also have bought three canon cameras and every one of them came with elements 2.

Good Luck.

I had the same problem :( the installer asks for elements 3,4 or 5 my version 2 code will not work

so I called the 800-833-6687 I explained what happened, they asked for my address, email etc and then gave me my customer #

I explained that I ordered this CS3 upgrade and it just said it needed elements not elements 3,4 or 5. She asked for my elements 2 and cs3 license #'s.

Then they asked me to hold CTRL & SHIFT and double click on the activation window (the one where it asks for the CS3-5 serial) which brought up a screen with a challenge code, I gave her that 6 digit #then she gave me a 6 digit response code afte putting me on hold for a few mins, type that in and done :)

sucks that I will have to call every time I reload the PC but its better than forking out more money :)

I just got off the phone with them, the call was routed in India I am pretty sure so maybe US vs India has different answers who knows. They did not ask for the link or ask me where i got it, just for the serial numbers. The lady did not make any excuses at all, I figured I may need to get a little nasty with them but nope she was very cooperative :)

so definetly call them back
