I'll be leaving for europe in a few months and need some advice as to which bag you guys would recommend for my needs. My set will consist of a 5d (w/grip attached), 16-35 II, 24-70, 50 1.4, 580 ex II and maybe a 135 2.0. I like the zipper and instant access attributes of the lowepro slingshot, but also like the discreet styling of the crumpler and national geographic bags. Ideally the bag would contain all of these qualities and still maintain a relatively slim profile. the bag would also need to fit a 15 in macbook pro. I've read in many reviews that their bags wouldn't come close to fitting anything bigger than a 12 inch laptop. This seems rather odd to me seeing as how the 15 in pro measures only 14 in across and 9.6 in deep. Does anyone know of/ have some pictures of such a bag? Am I better off buying a weather resistant messenger bag and custom fitting my own inserts? I will be backpacking durring the trip so portability is of great importance . Thanks so much guys.

Think Tank Urban Disguise 50 or 60. Holds a hell of a lot, especially if you keep the camera body in one of the front pockets when not in use. And the laptop compartment on either will fit the MBP.

if you want a backpack then lowepro has quite a few gooduns.

I personally keep my laptop separate from camera gear when shooting. If nothing else, this reduces the risk of losing everything if i'm robbed or overly forgetful.

I shoot with a domke and carry everything with a lowepro. domke is nice and discreet...seems you can't fool anyone with a crumpler bag anymore.

I use the Thinktank airport antidote. It's a backpack, but so very portable and roomy. Guaranteed to comply with all airline regs. I took 2 Rebel XT bodies, EF100-400, 17-40, EFS 10-22, batteries, rocket blower, portable hard drive etc. and still had plenty of room. It has a raincoat and a pocket for the laptop. Came in very handy for the "only one carry on piece" scenario in the UK right now. Worth every penny of the $200 I paid for it (from Thinktank's online sight) and I wish I'd bought it as my first camera bag. It would be my only bag.
