Been behind in posting up stuff here... so I'm gonna cram three sessions in two posts.

Here are two recent e-shoots:

1. I've shot here so many times it's hard to find a unique angle anymore...

And the next couple...

4. He totally had that GQ kind of look so I wanted a GQ type of shot:

5. The trees here were dropping so many seeds it looked like snow! So instead of a snowball fight they had a seed fight...

Lloyd - you are truely inspiring! I love looking at your stuff for new ideas. Every shoot and every picture is completely unique with you. I really admire how you think outside the box! I really really love #1 - that sun flare is amazing. The couple seems like just a little part of that photograph. I also really like the symmetry of the last one. Nice work!

When will you come to Hawaii to do a seminar??

Fantastic work.
What lighting is that in the seed shot? is that the sunlight?

Great series, Lloyd. I especially like the treatment on number 6. Very well done! :)

The seed fight was all taken with two lights. One behind them to backlight the seeds and make them pop, and another to the left hitting them at around 45 degrees to light the people up so you can see them. It was pretty late (EXIF says 9:37PM) and in the thick trees so there was really no light to work with.

might as well throw up another one.

Lloyd, these are amazing.

Your a true inspiration! Such creative poses, angles, lighting, everything!

I'd be interested to hear what kind of PP you use. Do you use PS or LR, or something else? Do you have a set of actions (Kubota's?) or do you do it all yourself on a per-image basis?

I am particularly interested in the PP on 1, 3 and 6.

Lloyd how did you do that last one?

I'm seeing f/8 @ 1/10th of a second. Did you use 2nd curtain flash to get them sharp or did you tell them not to move?

Wow, great work once again!

I'm not too fond of the composition of #3. I like when couples are in corners of pictures rather than the center, composition-wise, but I don't find that this one works for me. Maybe because his back is cut off...

The rest are splendid!

Yeah, my only negative comment would be that #3 has his back cut off.

I am particularly interested in the PP on 1, 3 and 6.

Most of these pics are all Lightroom, with a bit of cs2 dodging and burning added. For 6, I basically desaturated and cranked the curves.

No flash on this shot. I climbed up a bridge support and told them when to hold still. (Basically when I saw cars coming I'd tell them to hold) I ditched the 1D and used the 30D/17-55 because of the stabilizer. It's shots like this that the 24-70 just cannot do! For this reason I refuse to get rid of my 17-55!!!!!!

another way would be to have a tripod, set it have the couple shot on a standard shutter speed, then take them away and take another with the slower shutter..
