I wasn't sure where to put this topic, but a couple days ago I went outside at night with a tripod and my Sigma 24-70mm lens and took some night shots of my town.

1. The center of town

I like #'s 4 and 5 best. Moving water and slow shutter speeds look great when pulled off nicely. The motion blur for #5 works for me, but in #4 I wish the person stood still for a bit longer. Welcome to the forum!

Very nice. I like the first road outside because the lights completely bend around the curve.

Can't go to Kimball's without getting some ice cream! ;)

For those who are wondering, Westford Massachusetts.

The shots of Kimballs are good, and interesting. In my opinion, the downtown night shots are missing something required to be good photos, as there is simply not enough going on. If you are to ask "what is this a picture of," some of them don't really have an answer. I would also probably reduce the exposure less on a nighttime picture such as this. I mean no insult, just some constructive criticism!

sorry, forgot to check this thread

my town, as the poster above me says, is Westford, MA. Home to Kimball Farms, the place for ice cream and mini-golf
