OK, so after some careful consideration, followed by hour upon hour of trawling through reviews as well as various posts on POTN, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the 135 f/2 L and the 70-200 f/4 L IS.
The only problem now is having to wait around a week to actually get my hands on them.
I think I may even have managed to convinced my camera-shy girlfriend to let me take some portrait shots to give the 135L a test run. ;)

Thanks to everyone on POTN who has helped to considerably lighten the already minimal weight of my wallet.

No sense and unfortunately not enough money.

Thanks sootyvrs,

I'm sure you're absolutely right. It's just frustrating having to wait to try them out for myself. I'm like a big kid at xmas.

Nothing like getting new lenses, especially, when they're L's! Congrats! Post samples when you finally get them!

Gear list? A couple of bodies, a couple of elle's, and a few misc. items

Think I would have just got the 135L first seeing as you already have a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 (according to your signature anyway).

Graham,
I do indeed have the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8, but my reason for buying the Canon f/4 L IS was that it is approx half the weight of the sigma and more suitable for use when travelling. The Sigma will more than likely end up being sold.
