Hey Everyone, Just wanted to post a few pictures of my car, 96' Mustang GT convertible. Also wondering if anyone has suggestions of a good way to photograph the car. The first one I took while I was parked downtown, the 2nd one is an older one taken with my PnS. Thanks. C&C is always appreciated

Well first up, find a much better background. The 1st shot the colour's way off plus needs more light on the top and watch out for refections in the paint work. 2nd shot find a better background, try for just sky, shoot from lower down and get more light on the car.
Nice Car Enjoy.

the basic rules always make for keepers - having the wheels turned away from the camera so more of the wheel is visible, shooting at the right time of day, good exposure, shallow depth of field (sometimes) and lack of messy reflections on the car (maybe with a polariser, though some such as PhotosGuy preffer not to). But if you really wanna take it to another level, imo, try considering colours. photographing your yellow car against a blue backdrop would make it stand out alot more, as blue and yellow are opposite colours on the colourwheel and contrast more (hum, my designer side shows).

this link explains colour theory if you are interested lol.

Pixel peeping is like count the sides of a circle, pointless.

You should be able to make that car POP. I have shot a yellow 350Z several times, along with it's companions (silverstone white) and the yellow just pops. find a background that is not distracting (overly busy) and it should make shooting that car a breeze. Browse the photo here and get some ideas of composition as well. There are a lot of talented folks in this share and most will be glad to help you. Watch for thing "growing" out of the car. The day time shot has a palm growing out of the roof and you can't tell where the roof begins. Just my $.02.
