This was my first attempt at fireworks. I was pleased with the results, but next year I want to view them over water or w/ some type of city scape in the fore/back ground.

Manual focus in manual mode. F/7.1 and F/8 I think....ISO 100 and various times from 5-45 seconds. I used a remote to open and close the shutter, varying the time depending on how many fireworks went off. I think I should have done some slower times to get some smaller trails....but you live and learn. My kids had a blast watching the show.

XTi w/ a 70-200 F/4

Any comments?

I think the last one is real nice - with the trees in the front. Water and cityscapes are probably the best, but these are good.
