From last night. Just posting the one because they all sort of look the same. The tower in the front is from the old Lucky Strike plant that is being converted into offices, a hotel, resturants, and a loft apartments. Recontruction began a couple of years ago thankfully to the vision of a few who decided to reuse the buildings rather then tear down. Anyway, here is the image.

I like it. The smokestack gives it some context.

I gotta get more creative with my fireworks photos next year. Maybe a bikini model in the foreground or something.

Is that DBAP in the background? The stack goes well with the image.

Dan, yep, that is DBAP. The fireworks were being shot from the top of Diamond View II which is now under construction. The whole area is exploding with new construction now. There ware taken from the parking deck up by the train tracks.

Where it's at (smoke stack) in the photo and its overall brightness compared the fireworks, the way it's leaning, makes it more of a distraction imho. The composition doesn't work for me.

thanks for the comments. I understand the comments about the smoke stack and all, I just happen to prefer fireworks with something of geography to let you know where it is you are looking at. Personally just big colors in the sky don't tell me much.... they all kinda look alike after a while. I picked this location because to me it has time and place - not just colored lights. That's not what everyone is going after though, which is fine. It is really cool to see how others see the same subject but interpret it completely different. That's why we post.... thanks and cheers.

Anybody prefer this one? Wider, tower less prominent?
