With the release of LR 1.1, Martin Evening is providing a supplement to his LR book. The updates are available free over atLightroom News (external link). He is releasing the updates there one at a time, but he also includes directions on how to register at Peachpit to be able to download the PDF of all chapters once it becomes available. He's making it available to everyone for free because:

“I wanted to provide a free update for Lightroom 1.1 that would satisfy readers who had already bought the book as well as all those who hadn’t bought it yet but wanted to make sure they were up to speed on all the new program features”.

Bravo Martin!

Over at The Luminous Landscape (external link), Michael Reichmann and Jeff Schewe have release an update to their video tutorial series for LR that showcases the changes in v1.1. They've also decided to make this update available to everyone for free:

To help convince those of you who have not yet purchased our Lightroom video tutorial, we are offering you our new 35 minutes Lightroom V1.1 update for free. All you need to do is set up an account at our Store, enter the “free coupon code” provided, and download the 222MB file. No credit card is needed, and be assured that we NEVER provide our customer’s names or other information to any third party.

Thanks Michael & Jeff!

Scott Kelby has also released an update to his LR book and you can find directions on how to download it in his blog. (external link) This update is only available to those who bought his book and you will have to enter a security question to access it.

It very good to buy it right as you get LR. I had LR for a month or two before I bought the book and most the stuff I had already figured out on my own. I think it is worth it though.
