Here are a few more shots from our parade in Ketchikan....

1.Whats a parade with out a queen?

2.The forest Ranger Dept was represented as well...
IMAGE: http://superdiver.smugmug.com/photos/169940688-L.jpg

3.In fact they had the only marching band in the parade this year! Unless you count the bag pipers...

4.And if you are a bag piper in S.E. Alaska, you have to dress for it...We call them Ketchikan Sneakers...

5.Senator Ted Stevens (local hero, for whom my nephew is chief of staff as of June!)
IMAGE: http://superdiver.smugmug.com/photos/169916077-L.jpg

6.Our neighbors were represented as well...
IMAGE: http://superdiver.smugmug.com/photos/169922610-L.jpg

7.Nothing says America like baselball, right?
IMAGE: http://superdiver.smugmug.com/photos/169953891-L-1.jpg

8.And another baseballer, knowing who is going to take his picture, if he can get their attention...LOL

I was in Seward, Ak for the 4th. I had a blast watching the race. I stayed right on the bay. I was one of the lucky ones who got a seaside spot.

Ahhhh, so you are one of the tourists that comes and fills up our town for the 4th.... , just kidding. But can you tell the others to drive a little faster, we do only have one road here.:D I got a few shots of the race, but nothing that great, i was to busy eatting the deep fried halibut and corn fritters, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
