Photoshop - Technical Question

I've been working on a Creative Arts project for the past couple hours and all the sudden, Photoshop closes on me! No warning message, pause, or even a hiccup!

Is there a way to recover the file? Possibly from the Scratch-disk temporary file?

I usually save frequently, but I was in the middle of some hard-core manipulating...so wasn't even thinking about saves.

I just had the same thing happen ,, there is a free PSD recovery program thats useless as it recovers a jpg like they say but they didnt say the jpg is only a thumbnail , there are other PSD recovery programs but my file wasnt worth the money they are asking ,,, search google for PSD recovery .

when it closed on you, what programs were also running? does it only happen with PS or when u are using other programs?

My advise is to save the project after each edit that way you only loose the current edit you are working on at the time. Also if you ad more memory to your system the PS crashes will not occur as often.
