Hi all, I had two prints done in a 4x6. One at lab and one on my printer. My printer, printed almost dead on and the lab was very flat and dull looking. Is there anything I can change or is the lab just bad. I had them reprint without corrections and they weren't much different?

Thank you for any tips or suggestions.

I don't want to print my pictures any more. I have too many and can't keep up, but I don't want to spend an arm and leg.

Does your lab have ICC profiles for their printers? If so you need to get them and use them when sending your prints to them. If not then try finding another lab, otherwise it is a crap shoot on getting your prints to match.

Sounds to me like your lab assumes every photo is sRGB, and your photo was in fact something else eg Adobe RGB. Is this the case?

If so, try converting your photo to sRGB then sending it to the lab again, and see if it's better. This worked for me a while ago...
