I ordered a 30D 10 days ago and paid for 2 day shipping. My order still says processing. When I call every day they say the camera is on the way from Canon to them and should be here today (they say today, everyday)

it sounds to me like they are selling things they dont have in stock and you have to wait until the shipment comes. Obviously telling you every day is a total load of crap the least they can do is give you an accurate date. At least if they said we will have the shipment on X date you know when its coming. I hate when vendors do that :(

you could always cancel the order and go with adorama or B&H if they have any in stock thats what I would do.

the wait will be worth it, its the process that sucks :(

Hmmm, they seem to be hit or miss. I would stay away.

Sorry for your mishap
refurb depot dont look like a well trusted seller I would ask for a full refund or if you paid with credit card report it to your credit card company as fraud. dont know what you paid but B&H, Adorama and other well trusted sites have them listed new for less than $100 more than refurb depot.

Yeah it was $200 cheaper than b&h, but lesson learned. Someone on here recommended them. Sucks:(

I know someone bought a 5D from them, no prob.
I don't think they are trying to steal your money. It's more like they sold you something they don't have in stock and are making you wait.

I ordered a pair of struts for my car online. Still waiting...they ordered it from the manufacturer and it's taking a while.

Had I known that, I would have paid a little more and ordered elsewhere...

I think the main question is, has your credit card been charged?
If it has, it's a very bad deal, and to cancel you have to have to take the time and effort to insure that they reverse the charge or have your credit card company charge them back. And if they're questionable, it's worrisome just to know that they have your card number.
If your card has not been charged it's just a simple inconvenience to cancel and go elsewhere.

I once bought a refurb lens from Adorama and had to wait a couple of weeks before they shipped. So it happens to the big guys as well.

I also ordered a 5D from refurbdepot. The site says to allow 1-3 days to process orders. After 5 days I canceled my order, which took an additional 3 days to process the cancellation. The price was great ($2150), and the people were nice enough so no hard feelings on my end...

They should refund the shipping fee at the very least. I would call and cancel the order and buy anywhere else.

Well I cancelled my order yesterday. On Monday they said it was being shipped and the website would update. When the website didn't update on Tuesday I called back and they said it has not been shipped and it will be a couple more weeks before they get the camera from Canon. So I cancelled my order and they said no problem. In a couple hours the website said order cancelled. Today, their website is down because they did not renew their domain name. I hope this doesn't show up on my CC bill. I'm gonna call them tonight.

If you're concerned with your credit card being charged don't wait to get your statement. Go online and check it out. That way, if there is an issue, you can immediately dispute it with the card company.
