Anyone having any trouble with the 8250 using ink too fast??

I printed with it on my Windows XP computer and no problems at all. And before I switched to the Vista machine the ink usage showed all the cartridges as full. But as soon as I set up on Vista I was getting readings of low ink on yellow. Then shortly have that a second color. I only printed a few photos on the Vista machine before it showed 2 cartridges as needing replacement.

I am concerned that this printer (that I used very little) is a ink hog. But since it was not giving any low ink reading on XP, wondering if the Vista drivers (which HP can't seem to get right), were causing it to use too much ink?? Anyone have any experince with this printer.

I have since gottem myself a R1800 and given this one to my daughter, who will be using on XP machine, but hoping it will not cost a lot of money to keep it in ink.
