Without it looking weird? I am unsure, but this is one of my favorites from the fourth because of the colors. I have more, but I just for some reason really like this one. I just wanted to see if I could have some suggestions on how to take at least some of the smoke out. I have PS Elements 2..

Zoom in and clone is about all you could do. It would take some time but sure it could be done. I wouldn't worry about IMO. I like it as is.

Thank you... I like it too, but was just wonder if I blow it up, will it be too much of a distraction... Maybe I will just have to go with this one instead??? Not as much smoke, and about the same colors...

You might loose a little detail, but try using levels and increasing the blacks and reducing the mid-tones.

wow, very nice shot with the smoke.

admittedly it would look nicer with the smoke, but there is a good 2 hours of mindnumbing work there. the colours are amazing. makes me want to go out and take pics of the fireworks.. too bad it is ages till ther will be some roundhere

Thank you.. I was trying to decide if the smoke is growing on me or not.. Still havent decided lol.. I agree with the 2 or so hours and I really do not want to mess it up. So I guess I will just leave it.. Maybe in an 8x10 it wouldnt be too overshadowing.

Turning up the contrast a little is a cheap and dirty way dealing with it - albeit not a perfect solution. It's really a variation on Coach's suggestion of playing with levels.

Yeah, it's not a complete cure-all but it will improve things a little. I use the same technique for haze and anything else that will reduce or obscure contrast.
